Dr. Robert J. Walker earned his Doctorate in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Science in Education Administration and Supervision from Jackson State University in Jackson, Miss.; a Master of Arts in Management from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo.; and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, Miss.
Dr. Walker is the recipient of the 2009 President’s Volunteer Service Award and was selected the International Foundation for Education and Self-Help (IFESH) organization Outstanding Educator of the Year 2008-2009 for the year he served in Ethiopia, Africa training college teachers.
His employment includes: teaching in the Jackson, Mississippi public schools; teaching online courses, math, science, and Bible; teaching at Oakwood University, University of Memphis, Trenholm State Technical College, Alabama State University; serving as the Chair of the Department of Education at Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis.
Throughout his career, he has written several articles and conducted many workshops and training seminars on teaching and learning. His professional awards includes: “Teacher of the Year” Excellent Award for Teaching & Community Service, and Professional development awards.
