If the Greek fabalist Aesop were alive today he would no doubt be more than a little bemused by this collection of moral tales featuring not animals but things. Instead of tortoises, hares, foxes, hens and the like, Inanimated Aesop features material items such as books, spoons, keys, coats, bells, and gardening tools in all sorts of situations and predicaments. As all good fables do, each one offers a truism, admonition, or guiding bit of wisdom to live by, or not. You will never again look at your breakfast bowl or pillow in quite the same way.
