The Symbiotic Man: A Novel

A minor accident in a biology lab results in instructor Bill Compton being accidentally inoculated with an unknown species of blue-green algae. He discovers the algae have established a symbiotic relation within his skin. He seeks the help of botany professor Ken Horn and the two become excited about the fact the algae continue growing and photosynthesizing in Bill's skin and they set up a number of elaborate experiments. Their excitement is soon transformed into fear when things start to go amiss. They are about to find out how much they are willing to risk for altruistic pursuits ... and how dangerous it is to dabble in biological phenomena.
