In 1998 I fell in love with a slice of sunlight. I had probably fallen for sunlight before but being hard-headed I resisted, minimized, or short-circuited the affair. Specific sunlight: that room at that hour. Anticipating the sun would soon disappear from that window for several months, I worked fast, positioning objects and playing with shadows.
