This is one family's story of living with the young adult onset of Niemann-Pick Disease Type C (NPC). A story of hope, love, faith, courage, heartache, strength and perseverance. NPC is a very rare disease, only 500 known cases worldwide. At the time he was diagnosed there were only 90 known cases worldwide with only a few of those with the young adult onset. There is no treatment and no cure. This disease slowly robs the young adult of all their functions rarely living past the age of forty. This story is about Charles Beckman Jr.(Chuck) whose symptoms did not become noticed until around age 18. Includes pictures throughout his life and tells how pets, sports and the Andy Griffith show, stories of angels and the Bible helped him and his family to deal with this disease. Most of all, family and friends were of great support. Chuck inspired all who met him. 100% OF NET PROCEEDS FROM THIS STORY WILL BE DONATED TO THE NIEMANN-PICK DISEASE FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCH.
