This book grew out of Samuel’s own transition from traditional penetration testing and security analysis into product-driven engineering environments, and the years of friction, trial, and eventual partnership that followed. AppSecOps is the playbook he built for himself along the way, now handed to you. Modern applications ship daily, sometimes hourly. AI assistants write an ever-larger share of the code inside them. The traditional security model, review everything at the end, say no when in doubt, does not survive contact with that reality. AppSecOps is the practical playbook for everyone who has to operate inside that reality.
