A story of betrayal and vengeance set in a world rich in wonder and magic; even if legendary gladiator Varrok has never seen any of it. On the verge of his thousandth and last fight to earn his freedom from the Colosseum, he is betrayed by his own handler and destined to continue fighting; until a beautiful sorceress breaks him out. Together they travel to the lush southern lands, where he finds out she only ever broke him out for her own gain. Treated like a pawn yet again, Varrok vows to take revenge - only to find out there is much more going on beneath the surface.
