'Believe nothing you see; test everything you believe.'
A person, maybe myself even, wanders around a market in a small town on a Thursday. He witnesses a piece of as yet insignificant and forgotten history - he muses too soon in the day about things which are painful and far too personal. Then he disappeares for a time.
What does a book do when it loses its protagonist? What does a protagonist do when he suddenly finds he has rendered himself a word on a page? Who is the trainspotter in the old brown cardigan, and how did you miss all those clues?
Sim Lovell's (self)-biography was commissioned one day by the modern day muses. Have patience with realism and you may learn something.
