Whimsical Magazine is a new independent fortnightly publication aiming to highlight and sublimize portrait photography in all its forms, envisioned as a work of art. Additionally to awesome and unique editorial or commercial portraits, every issue will consist of interviews and articles spotlighting talents, from every part of the world, who will inspire every photography and image enthusiast and stimulate you to excel in your art, in order to make you live your passion more completely. Passion, creativity, emotion and audacity are our 4 watchwords. Robin Barnes is the photographer behind the lens of Remember When Storybook Photography. She started this business shooting black and white film and hand tinting her portraits. When our world has gone digital, she has continued to collect vintage props for her clients to use during their sessions. On a personal note, she has the chance to have a blended family that continues to grow : ‘Children, Abrienne and Micah. Gifted to me, my daughter Emerald and Keira, and son Michael. Grandchildren, Jayce, Eden, Vivienne, Dustin and Stassi. Family is everything to me!’ Robin absolutely loves her work! Indeed, she is a storyteller, and she shoots with her heart. Thus, she makes good use of her camera time by capturing the beauty in each subject : ‘I am about having fun and making sure you feel comfortable behind the lens with the smallest details in mind.
