Whimsical Magazine is a new independent fortnightly publication aiming to highlight and sublimize portrait photography in all its forms, envisioned as a work of art. Additionally to awesome and unique editorial or commercial portraits, every issue will consist of interviews and articles spotlighting talents, from every part of the world, who will inspire every photography and image enthusiast and stimulate you to excel in your art, in order to make you live your passion more completely. Passion, creativity, emotion and audacity are our 4 watchwords. Monica Ro is the photographer behind Monro Photography. She has been in the newborn photography industry since 2014. ‘Being a mom inspired me to pick up the camera and document all the little treasured nuggets of childhood. After having my second child, I decided to perfect my craft and really dive deep in the world of photography.’ Outside of running her own business, Monica is a mother to three beautiful kids. ‘I absolutely adore motherhood and they bring me so much happiness, in ways I could have never experienced, if I didn’t have the job of a mother.’ As Monica lost both parents at a relatively young age and didn’t have many photos with them, capturing all the meaningful moments, are a big deal to her. Thus, she considers it as her mission to make sure moms are seen along with dads too. ‘Without my tribe of people, this business couldn’t survive the way it does.
