"In my early days, I always wanted to use my dad’s camera
(video or photo doesn't matter), but when I had it in my hands
I wasn't taking pictures of the family,
but rather doing street photography. That is one of the reasons why
my dad didn't give it to me because the pictures
were too expensive to develop - and who wants to put photos
into family albums that do not relate?
But now with the IT job that I have and the different types of cameras at hand, I am enjoying exploring
different styles and types of photography throughout.
In a sense the whole process is a stress-therapy for me
(maybe I'm not the only one), which slows me down
and gives me the opportunity to really take in my surroundings
more consciously. It makes me appreciate the beauty in every detail
of everyday life too. I love high contrast pictures (if it supports the vibe) and a little mystery (at least I am trying) to the situation/moment
at hand. In the beginning I was really falling for that "insta"-vibe,
but quite quickly shifted to experiment more and try to find my style.
Currently, I am really fond of black and white - stripping things down to the very core of things
(unless the colors are just too breathtaking to take them away)."
