At university, I studied languages and graduated as a French and English teacher so photography was still not my plan for future.’ After she met her husband, moved to the UK and had children, Irina was lucky enough to become a part-time professional photographer for a few years in the London Photo Company ’The UK’s Leading Pool Photography Provider’. ‘I started to teach myself the technical aspects of photography, took online classes to get better at something that I considered a hobby. Finally, I decided to take the plunge and do this as a career. I still continue to learn and develop.’ Irina keeps drawing inspiration from her environment and her daily life, starting with simple walks with her children, nature, movies, but also books, magazines, art or photography exhibitions, or Instagram trends. ‘It all can become a source of inspiration for me.’ Irina Godden tend to be a natural and relaxed photographer simply trying to tell a story about people, families or children. ‘Finding the connection with my clients is a must so I am able to capture real authentic and emotional moments.’ Another of Irina’s specificities is to pay a close attention to details, composition and experimenting with different techniques and lighting, which has taught her and helped finding her own unique style of photography. «The greatest legacy we can leave our children is happy memories.» Og Mandino, Best selling American author
