A BRIEF HISTORY AND LIFE STORY ON THE POET
A BRIEF HISTORY AND LIFE STORY ON THE POET The Poet St. Clair, born Everold Finnikin in one of the dark years of 1970s, overshadowed with politics, crime, poverty, and of course, reggae music could be heard from every speaker no matter what the source of power. The sixth child of his mother, whom later immigrated to Canada, where he never visited. He grew up like wild sugar cane in a little community that borders Haddo – where he got primary education and Whithorn – where the post could be collected. Religion was not too far, as the big church not far from home just around the corner was very inviting. The Nazarene church, that was built in just seven days from the ground up… would have him baptized by age 14 and that would help steer him on his way.
