Astronomical Observations of a Lifetime is a ongoing journal of my observations of the sun, moon, planets, and night sky. Volume Five is the fifth in that series. It was first published in 2017. It begins with my first observations of 2010 and ends with the total solar eclipse of August 17, 2017. This was another transitional time as I moved further into imaging with a purchase of a CCD camera and telescope. Additionally, I was invited to join a supernova search to examine images from professional telescopes online; some of my discoveries were bright enough to be observed.
