Get ready for a gripping tale that will take you on a journey through the fascinating life of Stewart Barbour. A unique figure in Northern Ireland, he's the only man you'll see running roads and races carrying an enormous backpack, with smiley faces drawn on his knees, and usually with his hair dyed blue or green.
Discover why he runs so much; why he never cashed that £1million cheque; what his life's work is; what happened when he turned up to a physical TV game show with a walking stick; how and why he climbed everything but Everest; and so many more stories.
From Stewart:
"The purpose of this particular book is to raise much-needed funds for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. The Charity is doing great work in supporting patients and carers and helping to fund cutting edge research at Queen’s University Belfast, developing the approach to treatment through Immunotherapy, a new treatment of which I am acutely aware of the benefits. The idea is to boost the patient’s own immune system through transfusion, injection, and even orally, with antibodies avoiding most of the side effects of the chemo drugs. The thought of that research certainly keeps me going when out plodding the roads, but I also really enjoy meeting some really kind and encouraging people."
