They Live in the Letters is a collection of letters from Susan Perry to her college sweetheart, Richard Heckard. Sue was a sophomore at Vassar College, and Dick a Princeton University junior, when they met on a blind date. The letters chronicle Susan's last two years of college - the disappointments of making a C+ on a written exam, the excitement of finishing a thesis, and the chatter of dorm life - during which she wrote him nearly every day. As the two grow, so do the letters onto bigger life issues such as marriage, building a family, and life as an Army wife. A true love story.
