CoCo And The Backyard Fort

Old things aren't finished. Sometimes they are just waiting for a little love. One sunny morning, CoCo the white dog trots across her backyard in Macon, Georgia, and finds something wonderful: the old wooden fort, tangled in vines and forgotten by everyone — everyone except CoCo. With her favourite person, Rabbit, right beside her, she sweeps, digs, plants flowers, and paints a brand-new sign (with a paw print right in the middle, of course). Along the way she protects the bluebirds' nest, welcomes every yard friend, and learns that with patience, teamwork, and love, something old and forgotten can become the best place in the whole yard. Based on a real photograph of the real CoCo, this gentle picture book is a celebration of second chances, helping hands, and the dogs who love us. Inside you'll also find: - CoCo's Fort Rules - Two colouring pages - A "Help CoCo Find the Fort" maze - A fort word search - A count-and-find picnic page - A draw-your-own-fort page - An Official Fort Fixer Certificate to fill in and keep Perfect for young readers, dog lovers, and anyone who believes a little love can fix almost anything.
