Star-branched Copolymers on Chemically Heterogeneous Surfaces
This ebook may not meet accessibility standards and may not be fully compatible with assistive technologies.
The conformation properties of star-branched polymers in solvent and melt have been studied intensely in the last thirty years. Because of the unique structural and dynamic properties of star polymers, these kinds of polymers have attracted great attention. In particular, the conformational behavior of isolated star polymers and of stars in solution in good and theta solvents were the subjects of recent extensive
studies, both experimental and theoretical.
The topic of this thesis is the behavior of three-arm-di-block star-polymers near homogeneous and heterogeneous planar surfaces. The influences of chemical mismatch, adsorption energy on the configurational properties has been investigated.
