Ocarina Repertoire Volume 2 (D Edition)

Following on from Volume 1, published earlier this year, this book aims to provide even more music for intermediate to advanced players of the English (or "pendant") ocarina. Just like the first volume, this is not a graded tutor book, but contains pieces of varying difficulty levels - although anyone who has successfully played the music in Volume 1 should have no difficulty with Volume 2. Despite being a follow-up to Volume 1, this book is also designed to stand alone, and so the exercises from Volume 1 have been reproduced here. The pieces presented after the exercises, however, are all new, but still following the same structure of folk songs, then classical solos and duets, and finally an extended suite - in this case, selections from Handel's Water Music. This edition is intended for ocarinas in the key of D (Langley or similar), with G ocarinas used for some of the harmony parts. For musicians with ocarinas in C, a separate edition is available with the same pieces arranged in that key.
