The Recompense of the Mind

A young man returns home after surviving the First World War. When he meets an old friend of his from the trenches, who seems to be suffering from visions , he believes that it is little more than a result of the torments from his time in the trenches. However, as time goes on, the young man also begins to suffer from the same visions and he suddenly understands exactly what they mean.
