This is the special edition hardback photobook to accompany OLD MASTERS – a double album of live recordings and studio discoveries, lovingly remastered from early digital “old masters” – bootleg minidiscs, studio mastertapes, and various broadcasts – and charting the journey of a distinct sound that began to emerge at New College, Oxford at the beginning of the 1990s, and over the next quarter of a century has resounded abroad, bearing fruit notably in the series of early music firsts – the “milestones of Western music” recorded in the early 21st century for Naxos Records, and in multiple albums of works by the founder-director of TONUS PEREGRINUS, Antony Pitts.
