Neuroses op. 16a - study score

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
These pieces were composed while studying with Lukas Foss in Boston and are about fun. Nothing serious here. More “why” than “how.” The original piano suite was written for my friend and colleague composer Joe Johnson. This arrangement was made in the fall of 2001 for the Shepherd School Percussion Ensemble. I. Obsession is an ostinato driven 12 tone piece. II. Crack Allemande is an over-paced, over-ornamented baroque dance. III. The J.D. Stumble is a popular American college dance. IV. Brain Itchies is a morbid baroque minuet suitable for any funeral. V. Grunties is an abrasive assault on both audience and instruments alike with a rubber chicken ending.
