You were admitted to the NICU after birth, with thick gauze wrapped around your right wrist to cover the IV tube and your little fist. The doctor said that there was a high index in your blood count, I can't remember which one, which probably meant that you had an infection, and that it was suspected to be due to prolonged labor and contaminated amniotic fluid, and that you needed to be given fluids for a few days to bring the index down.
