They Called Me Ozzie

They called him Ozzie, but we called him Dad. Our "Ozzie" was deployed in Italy during the dark years of World War II, when 312,000 Allied soldiers were killed, wounded, or reported missing. We will never know what dangers he faced, the atrocities he witnessed, nor the hardships he endured. While overseas he protected military assets and being the quality of man that he was, when he returned home, he guarded us from those memories too.
