Survive in the Shadows

Roy Chalmers was relaxing in the early evening as he sat on the deck of his launch moored at the marina in the South of France, his mind was on Margo and the accident. His thoughts went back to his most recent earner and how Margo had come into his life. Coming out of prison he had contacted a past partner in crime Ken who was deeply involved with an International Drugs operation run by Don a well known Scottish underworld figure. At that time unknown to him Don also had an involvement with an Irish Republican Unit. Don had paid Margo a working prostitute to get close to him and report all his movements. A handover of cash for drugs and explosives has been arranged and Roy manages to get his hands on the holdall and the details of the handover. He informs the drug squad who after a shoot out at a large hotel in Edinburgh make their arrests and find the drugs and explosives. Don panics and disappears with his girlfriend. Roy takes the holdall with three quarters of a million and he and Margo go on the run.
