Echoes of Power

Lyra starts as an ordinary 15-year-old girl looking forward to her 16th birthday. Henry and Nikki, Lyra's friends, throw her a surprise party where many odd things begin to happen such as Lyra freezing time! The odd occurrences continue to happen at school as Lyra flings a pencil at a student without touching it. Lyra's mom learns that Lyra has powers and tells her that she needs to avoid going out as much as she can, this includes the soccer team (which she is the captain of). Despite her mother's warning, Lyra decides to attend soccer practice and she accidentally uses her powers and she runs away since she doesn't want to get in trouble. However, a government agency captures her for having powers as she is a danger to society. Read to find out what happens to Lyra next.
