Blessed To Have A Parallel In Our History

In this historic lecture delivered on April 26, 1981, Imam Warithuddeen Mohammed explores the profound parallels between the history of the prophets and the historical experience of African Americans. Drawing from the Qur'an, the Bible, and the lives of Moses, Joseph, and the Exodus, he demonstrates how sacred history provides guidance for personal and community transformation. Through a call to intellectual freedom, faith in Allah, and moral responsibility, this lecture encourages believers to recognize their dignity, embrace their role as khalifah (stewards), and participate in building a just and enlightened society.
