The story of the sacred dancer is merely a fictional tale through which I attempt to examine the notion of a saint as a human being with emotions and feelings that stir her as a mother before her religious duty. I also explore how depriving her of this natural aspect could negatively impact her and her institution, a topic often silenced in religious circles.
