SAMAR was raised by a tribe of Nomads and grew up learning the ways of the jungle. He grew to become a champion of the downtrodden, the weak and helpless, and a bitter enemies of those who would kill, enslave, or abuse their fellow man. He battled both man and beast, and some creatures who were a little of both (such as Panther Men, the Bat-Men, and the Hyena-Men)! No fewer than 13 different pencillers worked on this series, including such big names as Reed Crandall, Nick Cardy and Charles Sultan. His adventures in Feature Comics #32-63 present some of the best jungle adventures of the Golden Age, and for the first time in history, SAMAR has his own complete collection!
