Hello there, I'm Amanda. I'm happily married to my best friend; and the mother of 4 amazing kids. Our lives seemed picture perfect, however unbeknownst to us; our world was about to be turned upside down. Being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 34, changes your life forever. Even having been a nurse for the past 17 yrs; I still wasn't prepared for the amount of pain, and emotional breakdowns awaiting me. Through it all I continued to journal my feelings open and honestly, without holding back. My husband Steve remained, my rock, my strength, and my protector. We definitely found out just how strong our relationship is; I also discovered so much about myself that I'd never known to exist. Cancer did change my life but as weird as it may seem, in some ways it changed it for the better. Although, I still have many more yrs before I'm considered a true survivor; I know deep down I've already braved the biggest storm, and come out stronger!
