About the Author: Dr. Christopher S Burress, D.O. is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist and Board Certified Pediatrician by the American College of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Burress has extensive experience in caring for terminal patients and currently is acting Medical Director for a local community Hospice in Dickson, TN. He graduated Cum Laude from UT-Martin in Martin Tennessee and attended Medical School at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences-COM in Kansas City, Mo. He was Chief Resident of his Internal Medicine- Pediatrics Residency program at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Dr. Burress has won numerous academic and clinical awards during his career including the Practitioner of the year award from the Tennessee Primary Care Association, Outstanding Medical Director Award from Avalon Hospice-Dickson, and Victor Benator Award for excellence as an instructor of young physicians in training.
