David was born in Yorkshire in the mid-60's and developed a passion for racing in his formative years around some of the finest tracks in England. He moved to London after graduating, primarily to see more of the bands he loved, whilst harbouring a quiet ambition to be a heavy-metal lead guitarist... Cursed with no musical ability whatsoever, he instead pursued a half-hearted career in the Civil Service. David now lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and two daughters. Mug Punting - Short Tales about Long Odds was published in 2012.
