David Ryan
David Ryan was a police dog handler and instructor for over twenty-six years. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling from Southampton University and is accredited as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist by the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour. He was the Chairman of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors from 2009 to 2012 and remains active on their business committee. When not writing, he currently helps local and national charities assessing and rehoming dogs, presents seminars in the UK and Europe, lectures on Newcastle University's MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare, offers a consultation on canine behaviour and provides legal expert witness services.
