I guess it shouldn't be that much of a surprise that I became a writer, as much as I have always loved reading. I actually taught myself how to read when I was 2(according to my parents), and have always enjoyed reading. However, I didn't really start writing until I was in my early 30s, although I had made several attempts in my 20s to write "the great American novel". When I was in my early 30s, I discovered fanfiction, and began writing fanfics, which led me to write short stories, and eventually my first novel, which I started in 2009, worked on it off and on, finally publishing it in 2015. Hopefully, my second novel won't take 6 years to finish.
