Geraldine began her teaching career in the South Bronx of New York City. She moved on to creating bilingual Miccosukee/English textbooks for the Seminole Tribe of Florida and then spent five years directing an education program in the Atacama Desert Region of Chile. She was recruited by Irish Aid to write Kiswahili language textbooks for Tanzania's primary school system. She now lives and works in Dublin's inner city.
