John W Keddie
John Keddie was born in 1946 and brought up in Edinburgh. A qualified accountant he entered the ministry of the Free Church of Scotland in 1987. After serving in two pastorates he retired in 2012 but continues to serve as Principal and lecturer in Church History at the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing) Seminary in Inverness. He is the author of Scottish Athletics (1982), Sing the Lord's Song (1994, 2003), Running the Race (on Eric Liddell) (2007, 2012), Finish the Race (the story of Eric Liddell for younger readers) (2011) and two other biographies: Then Came a Cloud (on all-round sportsman K G Macleod, 2016) and 19th century theologian James MacGregor (2016). He is married with four children and thirteen grandchildren and lives near Inverness in the Scottish highlands.
