For nearly 50 years the Lifers’ Unlimited Club has sought to meet the needs of prisoners housed in the Oregon State Penitentiary and elsewhere when possible. Though serving life sentences the members of the Lifers’ Club have strived to make this community a better place to do time via educational opportunities, fundraising efforts, charity sponsorships, and many other notable projects. The Lifers’ Unlimited Club is a self-sustaining, self-governed group of prisoners who actively participate in politics that help shape the direction of the club as a whole. Every two years an election is held to vote for 5 available executive body positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Meeting Facilitator. We cannot change the past; however, we believe through rehabilitation and pro-social behavior we can create a more productive future.
