Marisa Gasper was born to make art in Los Angeles County, in 1975 (a Pisces). Besides playing guitar and mastering piano, she is a prolific poet and media slut (in a good way) - she doesn't know the word fear, because she pursues her creative visions wherever they take her (computer graphics, film/video, photography, sculpture, painting, jewelry, music, writing). Marisa's unique grasp on the paradoxes of life infuse her songs with a keen sense of the bittersweet and brilliant human imperatives of hopelessness and hope despite the jagged trajectory of life's gambits. Her songs & writings explore life through sound and transcend traditional dichotomies in service to healing expansively the rifts between heart and mind, sacred and profane, G*d and philosophy, how what breaks us inevitably makes us stronger revisionists.
