Born Rachel Campbell Zaino in York in 1976, with English, Scottish, Italian and Australian ancestry, Rachel began writing at an early age. First published at the age of 18 Rachel’s work has since been published in over 50 short story and poetry anthologies in the UK, US and Australia. Except for being a writer, the only other thing Rachel has ever wanted to be is a Ghostbuster, as she has always had an interest in ghosts, ghouls and all things dark and macabre! She still lives in her home town of York where Rachel’s loves, other than writing, are photography, music (the heavy influence that music has had on her life can be seen in most of her writing), spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and rummaging in charity and vintage shops for that ultimate bargain!
