Albanian Author Remzi Basha, was born on September 1st, 1960 in the village of Sllapuzhan, City of Therande. Completed his elementary and high school in his home town, and continued his studies at the University of Kosovo, Department of History and Geography. As a young college student has actively participated in patriotic movements, and later was one of the leaders of the demonstrations in Kosovo for freedom and independence, as a result he would be arrested and persecuted various times. He was the leader and mastermind of the “Workers of the Balkans” strike in Suharekë. As a result of being under surveillance by the Serbian Government during the anti communist revolution, Remzi Basha desided to move together with his family in Sweden, to continue his extensive participation in favor of Cultural and National Albanian matters, while participating, unlike any other, as a teacher in Albanian schools of Sweden.
