Dr. Robert Lima, OIC is Knight Commander in the Order of Queen Isabel of Spain, Academician of the Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española, Corresponding Member of the Real Academia Española, and a member of the Enxebre Orde da Vieira.He was initiated into the Menda Nkwe people of Bamenda, Cameroon. He retired as Professor Emeritus and Fellow Emeritus of the Institute for the Arts and Humanities after 40 years of teaching. He is the author of seven books of poetry and twenty other books of literary criticism, biography, translation (poetry/drama/aesthetics), and bibliography. Over 400 of his poems have appeared in print in the U.S. and abroad., along with over 125 articles in professional journals, magazines, newspapers, and books. An inveterate traveler, he has visited numerous areas of Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa, North and South America, and islands of the Pacific, Mediterranean and Caribbean. He is currently at work on a book of his travels and another of his memoirs.
