I am Nicholas Sironka. A Maasai from Kenya in East Africa. It has been my life's passion to help bring a greater understanding of our Culture by all people around the world. It is my hope that as you read this little book, and enjoy the paintings, you will not only come to learn of the good in my Culture, but that you too will take pride in your own family, and Culture, wherever you may hail from. Batik art is a beautiful art form involving the alternating use of hot wax and dye application on fabric, that only a few have mastered. I believe that I am still learning, even though I have been painting in this way for over twenty years. In reading about our way of life, it is my hope that you will embrace the need for all of us on this planet, to understand one another, and to live in peace, and harmony with one another.
