About
J.E. Terrall
I was born and raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I worked with kids at a camp outside Detroit as a counselor, often telling them stories at bedtime. While a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy, I served at San Diego Naval Hospital. Some of my experiences became a part of my book Balboa Rendezvous. Later when working in law enforcement I began to write as a way of relaxing. My first book was a challenge from my wife. I read a book that I thought was terrible. I said that I could write a better book. My wife said that I could tell a good story, I should write one. I did, but it took a long time and a lot of re-writes to get it right. The story was The Return Home. I learned a lot about the law, investigation, and procedures from my job, from other law enforcement officers, and from various books on law. I used what I learned in writing my mystery books. I like to tell stories and that is what I do with my books. I simply tell a story.
