Thomas Lindholtz grew up in Davis, CA. After attending Wheaton College in Illinois, he served as an Infantry officer in the US Army. He returned to school to acquire an MBA and enjoyed a career at the University of California, Davis. In "A Doughboy's War: Letters Home" he combines his interest in the broad sweeps of history and the way events are inter-connected, with a fascinating and intimate look into the lives of family members he had never known, their relationships, and the world they lived in, now long gone.
