John got on the path that led to this book following a comparative religions course and then studying Transcendental Meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. In the years that followed, while enjoying a successful media sales career, John studied the ideas presented by a wide range people exploring the evolution of consciousness and quantum physics. The main idea that became clear to John was that reality is totally subjective. Many of the ideas that have been presented by the various religions could be seen in a new light. A particularly strong statement of the principle is Jesus' "if you have no doubt in your heart you can move mountains". Jesus stated clearly that anything (miracles included) could be accomplished by more anyone - it was just a matter of faith and belief. The idea that your dominant beliefs control and shape your reality was reinforced by experience and John wanted to share these ideas with others in the hope of inspiring them to appreciate their capabilities.
