I have been a teacher in the Gilbert Public Schools for over twenty-five years. I was at Gilbert High School before becoming one of the original teachers at Highland. I first started acting at the age of eight, forty-some years ago. I am a native of San Diego, CA. I received my BA at Brigham Young University in Journalism Ed. I did my acting training at BYU during that time too. I obtained my Masters Degree from Arizona State University. For the past seven years I have had additional training in Acting and Directing at Southern Utah University with the Utah Shakespeare Festival. I spent the summer of 2009 in London where I received training at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre. At Highland, I am the Theatre Club Advisor and the Theatre Team Coach. I have also been the Speech and Debate Coach. In 1997 I was named the Journalism Teacher of the Year. Also in 2011 I was named the Arizona Theatre Teacher of the year.
