Alison is a poet and tutor, and a poetry columnist on Writing Magazine. She adjudicates poetry competitions, gives talks and readings around Britain and overseas, and provides distance learning critique. She teaches public speaking as well as creative writing, and is devoted to - in no particular order - a husband, various crafts, two daughters, reading, Fuerteventura, cats Byron and Shelley, gossip and chocolate.
