I was baptized at 6 weeks and attended Sunday school and worship virtually every week for the first 16 years of my life at which point I decided that I had no need of gods. While attending the Pennsylvania State University I read the book Liar, Lunatic, or Lord by Dennis Harris. I accepted his proof that Jesus was the Christ. I became a Christian, read the entire Bible, and again actively participated in church. I began teaching Sunday school, Bible school, and leading Bible studies. In my 40th year I read the book The Golden Bough by James Frazer. Reading that book, I realized that the elements of Christianity which seem the strangest to Americans in the 21st century had been common in religions predating Jesus by centuries. I began a quest to find religious truth, studying the Bible and many religious books by different authors. Abundant Life is the result of that quest.
