A retired teacher, deputy head and manager of SEN (Special Educational Needs) support services in the East Riding of Yorkshire, Lancashire-born Sylvia Edwards has channeled her proven and unrivalled experience in this specialist field into writing a series of informative and insightful multi-disciplined books. These have been developed and published with children, parents and schools specifically in mind. In addition to her work as an author, Sylvia has also designed Apps for mathematics programmes, thereby helping to simplify this sometimes complex and difficult subject for children with special educational needs. Sylvia is driven by her overriding passion for improving the educational experiences of children and young people with SEN, and she continues to be motivated by her enjoyment of working with colleagues and parents towards realising this goal.
