Amber Tatum is the founder of Amberbound Books. Amberbound Books is a small, heart-led imprint dedicated to emotionally intelligent children’s stories that speak directly to kids with big feelings. Our books are created with accessible language, relatable imagery, and a deep respect for emotional literacy. We believe that storytelling should be both beautiful and available. Every title is offered at no cost in digital format, and printed versions are made available at cost. Our mission is to expand access to social-emotional learning resources for all families, especially those who may not be able to afford traditional publishing prices. Each Amberbound book is crafted for sensitive children, anxious kids, and those navigating big changes or inner storms. Whether used at home, in classrooms, or by school counselors and therapists, our stories offer gentle support through themes of mindfulness, empathy, and connection. Although our earliest books are independently built, we are growing toward a future that includes collaboration with paid illustrators, small-press artists, and traditional publishing services. Our goal is to continue offering trauma-informed, neurodivergent-friendly, and emotionally grounded books for children without placing access behind a paywall.
